A brainspotting intensive is extended, focused therapy designed to help your nervous system process and release trauma without repeatedly opening and closing the work week after week.

Instead of:

  • Restarting each session, re-orienting, re-regulating each week.

  • Stopping just as something meaningful emerges.

We stay.

Long enough for your body to complete what it already knows how to do.

This work is gentle—but deep.

Brainspotting Intensive in Houston is NOT for you if:

  • You are in immediate crisis and need stabilization.

  • You want skills-only or coaching-style support.

  • You prefer slow, exploratory weekly therapy.

  • You are not yet ready for deep internal focus.

What to Expect from the Virtual Brainspotting Intensive in Houston

Before the Retreat: Setting the Stage

We’ll have a 50-minute personalized mental health assessment so we can get a clear background of your mental, social, spiritual and emotional health so we can identify the areas to pinpoint during the brainspotting intensive day.

This is a one-on-one video call where we will:
Build rapport so you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Discuss your trauma & anxiety history in a compassionate, clinical intake style.
Identify your unique triggers & emotional patterns.
Assess your emotional capacity
so we tailor the intensive to what feels safest for you.

Retreat Day:Foundation and Connection (3 hours)

For Christian clients, each day starts with prayer for clarity, courage, and God’s peace over your healing journey (Optional).

During this intensive, we will begin to help you process and unpack all the stuck areas we identified in the pre-retreat session.

Structure:

  • 10am to 11am- Morning session

  • 11am to 11:15am- Break

  • 11:15am to 12pm Mid-Morning Session

  • 12pm to 12:15pm- Break

  • 12:15pm to 1pm- Afternoon session

Post-Intensive Integration & Continued Support

50-minute private follow-up session (1 week later) to process insights and maintain progress

After brainspotting you might experience Vivid dreams, Thirst or tiredness. It’s all normal.

What you need before and during our brainspotting intensive sessions

The most important thing is for you to be comfortable and cozy.

  • Wear comfortable clothes, sit in a quiet and private environment. Ensure you have lots of water, tea and/or your favorite beverage.

  • You may bring a snack and have lunch ready so you may be nourished during the breaks.

  • A blanket and other comfort objects will be great to have on hand (some people show up in their pajamas, they have fuzzy socks on, or they wear a comfortable t-shirt). It’s all up to you.

  • You will also need headphones or air pods.

  • Have a journal or notebook so you can take notes to record your insights.

  • Go to bed on time the day before and/or schedule some time off the day after the retreat. You may even make it a retreat day and get a hotel for the day so you can lounge and reflect all day.

What is brainspotting? How does brainspotting work?

  • A brainspotting intensive is an extended therapy session, conducted over a longer period of time than a standard 45-minute therapy session. It’s great for women who want to work through stuck areas without having to start and stop, or wait for months, This is not weekly therapy compressed. It is a different container altogether.

  • It’s personalized for you. After you complete the assessments on the pre-retreat day, we will be focusing on the areas that have been causing you distress. It could be trauma, anxiety, depression, numbness, or any areas in which you wish to finally find freedom.

  • 10am to 11am- Morning session

    11am to 11:15am- Break

    11:15am to 12pm- Mid-Morning Session

    12pm to 12:15pm- Break

    12:15pm to 1pm Afternoon session

  • Unfortunately insurance does not cover the cost of therapy retreats or intensives. You may however reach out to your insurance plan to see if there are options for a service like this. Please note that insurance mandates that you receive a mental health diagnosis in order to cover therapy costs.

  • The cost for this virtual brainspotting intensive is $1,200.

    • Get a great night of sleep prior to the retreat.

    • Ensure that you have a private, comfortable and quiet spot for the 3- hour day.

    • You’ll need headphones or AirPods.

    • I highly suggest you bring water, a snack, blanket or any other comfort objects.

    • You might even want to schedule some time off the day after the retreat. Some people make it a retreat day and get a hotel for the day so they can lounge all day.
